Our mission

In Artemisa we seek to value the resident as an individual. The goal is to get to know our residents through interviews, to evaluate them from the medical, psychic, affective and functional point of view. According to this information we can project an environment of freedom to perform the activities and the support tools to overcome or improve weakness that are detected.

Our group is composed by young and experienced professionals looking to offer a family environment where the set of residents act as the active piece of the residential operation. The elderly should have a friendly environment where he can feel comfortable planning projects or feeling able to be part of a community without loosing autonomy.

For many different reasons many old adults start a progressive decline once they stop the daily routine usually done at work. This generates difficulties at the time of confronting the last stages of life. One of the main reasons for this decline is, from our point of view, the loss of self-esteem. The feeling useless and loneliness start creating a decrease of functionality which will be replaced by dependence in long term.

Usually at these stages of life, many adults find the rest of the family members on moments of great work and family overload, making difficult the seek of solutions and generating unfounded feelings of guilt on both sides.

For all these reasons, we look for integrative approach, where the family member finds solutions, and mainly the elderly discover himself, find a place to express himself and can be able to face this new stage of life with interests, accompanied and happy.
